In 2018, eurac research hosted the 1st World Congress on Agritourism, November 7-9 in Bolzano, South Tyrol, Italy. To build on the success and momentum of the World Congress, eurac research will partner with local host University of Vermont Extension in 2020 to host the International Workshop on Agritourism in Burlington, Vermont. Every four years, the World Congress will return to Italy. Every two years between a World Congress, a Workshop will be held in a new location by a local host in partnership with eurac research.
As the result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Workshop on Agritourism will be postponed to August 30 – September 1, 2022. Our thoughts go out to everyone impacted during this difficult time.
Between now and the 2021 conference, we are planning virtual events about agritourism research, outreach, and best practices. We look forward to hearing stories of community resilience and recovery–please let us know about innovation initiatives in your communities!
