WAC2024 – Call for Special Sessions

Call for Special Session is CLOSED

A set of special sessions will be organized to identify current issues of relevance in the international context for both research and agritourism practices.

The Congress organisers invite all interested professionals, practitioners, researchers, public and private institutions, as well as international networks and initiatives related to agritourism to send their proposal for session referring to one of the four Key Themes of the congress. We welcome thematic proposals deriving from all types of disciplines and concerning both basic and applied research. The link to the concept of Agritourism needs to be evident and you are encouraged to keep in mind the following criteria before submitting your proposal. The session should:
  • (a) address current research or innovative approaches;
  • (b) compose a session team composed by experts/researchers of different national origin;
  • (c) ideally include contributions from both the academia and external experts or policy-makers;
  • (d) focus on specific regions / countries or promise contributions from different countries;
  • (e) refer to one or more established research and agritourism networks;
  • (f) maximise the diffusion of results through, for example, their publication in special issues or books;
  • (g) desirably include early-career researchers as organisers and/or speakers.
Each session will consist of 3 presentations of 10 minutes each (max. 10 slides per presentations) + 20 minutes for discussion, for a total of 1.5 hours.
Please submit your session proposal in the form of 250-word abstract (in a single paragraph) in English (text only) through the congress proposals submission system (http://tiny.cc/wac2024-session-proposal) by November 16th (DEADLINE EXTENDED) at 11:59 a.m. (Rome Time).
Selected proposals will be included in the call for presentations & posters and in the official Programme.
All proposals should contain the required information as described below including keywords and references. If you think that any of the reported requirements are inappropriate for your work, please provide other relevant information together with a brief explanation. You will not have the option to attach full bibliographies, reports, or full papers during the session submission process.
