The Local Organising Committee (LOC) offers 10 scholarships covering only the registration and dinner fee, to support the in-presence attendance of agritourism practitioners from all over the world.
Practitioners applying for the scholarship are invited to present their business during the congress by sending a video and/or orally presenting their case during the congress. Why your agritourism ‘is more …’?

Any practitioner in the field of Agritourism coming from a country outside Italy.
A practitioner is a farmer (or member of his/her/their family, or active employee on the farm involved in the agritourism business) running an agritourism establishment.
Each scholarship covers only the registration and dinner fee for the in-presence attendance. Its aim is to support the participation of agritourism practitioners from all over the world.
It applies only for the person submitting the request.
To make the 2nd Congress on Agritourism a successful and productive world congress, by sharing experience between participants with an academic and a practical background from all over the world.
To facilitate the exchange and collaboration among Agritourism communities.
To promote new collaborations.
In order to apply for a scholarship, please…
  1. register for the Congress as in-presence attendee (link to the registration portal)
  2. pay the attendance and dinner fee.
  3. send us your scholarship request, filling the online application form (link here)
  4. if your application should be accepted the paid fee will be reimbursed.
All applications will be evaluated by the LOC, taking into account the geographic context and the working background.
The final decision on the granting of the congress scholarships will be made by the LOC.
The LOC decision will be final and unappealable.
Any attempt to lobby the LOC will result in disqualification of the applicant.
Any applications that do not comply with the formal requirements described in these guidelines will not be accepted/considered.
By accepting a scholarship, the applicant automatically grants the LOC permission to use any materials associated with the application.
Scholarship applications open: February 28th, 2024
Deadline for applying for scholarships: March 18th, 2024  – NOW CLOSED
Applicants are notified about decisions: March 22nd, 2024
Applicants who receive other financial support for the same reasons are not eligible to apply for a congress scholarship.
If granted the scholarship, the LOC will reimburse the conference registration and dinner fees.
Meals during the conference are covered by the conference registration fee.
An invitation letter for all scholarship recipients requiring a visa will be provided by LOC. We expect each recipient to personally contact their local Italian consulate or embassy to manage any related business on their own including the payment of fees. (click here for mor info and visa check).
The LOC will not cover the cost of visa.
